Our Methodology...

Our research methodology is structured on a deeply-rooted commitment to provide clients with accurate, relevant, and above all, strategically useful and actionable information.  It is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and includes as the principal techniques, in-depth personal and telephone interviews, postal and online surveys.  The primary research is almost always augmented by the collection and analysis of pertinent secondary data.  And, because of our long-term experience in the industrial market, we are able to be up-and-running on a project quickly without the usual time constraints and added expense of a steep learning curve.

Over the course of many years experience in the industrial market, we have developed highly effective methods of identifying knowledgeable individuals within the industries under study, and conducting professional, fruitful interviews.  All interviews are conducted entirely in-house by Industrial Research Associates personnel, whose enthusiastic and dogged approach to data collection always results in reliable and robust samples.  Our staff conducts in-depth interviews in a conversational manner and can speak and listen intelligently to industry professionals—at essentially all levels, from the plant floor to the corporate office.

We are expert in questionnaire design and implementation.  We believe there is an art to asking questions, but more importantly, to asking the right questions.
